Challenge: Deep DOF II (Basic Editing)
Camera: Sony DSLR-A200
Lens: Sony DT 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 Aspherical ED Zoom Lens for Sony Alpha
Location: Coggon, Iowa
Date: Sep 20, 2009
Aperture: f/22
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/40 sec
Galleries: Black and White, Transportation
Date Uploaded: Sep 22, 2009

Tried to get the closed to hyperfocal as I could. I don't have markings on my lens for focus.

Editing is pretty basic, crop, desaturate, levels, usm, resize, a little more usm (I hope I didn't oversharpen it, thats always something I worry about).

Photographers should really learn to fight the temptation to shoot railroad tracks. A good perspective and nice tonal range (maybe some more blacks would be good). Works well in B/W.

Good subject! Certainly has a deep DOF, if not totally complete. Just a little blur on the closest portion of the rail. Beyond that, a really compelling image. 8
