Ask her if she'll pose for me? I could use a little of that Jinx,

Taking your camera to Mass and submitting whatever came up for shots? You need to be recieving BLUEs for this to be just. Nicely done (again!)

This is what I'm WAITING for...another ribbon. OOpppsss sorry...can not contain my happiness.

Yesterday, when I learned that I earned another 4th Place (my fourth 4th place), I told myself that life indeed is a waiting game...that I might wait for another ribbon... maybe forever. But the wait was rather short.

I am very happy for Katrina, too, my model. My "Strength" entry here:

also placed in the top 10 and was a subject of discussion. She said that she is a jinx to me. Well, I don't think so. I couldn't have a more effective model than her.

Anyway, I took this shot after a Sunday mass. Hoping to join the challenge, I bought my camera to the church with the intention to take photos of kids waiting for their parents. It rained during the mass. An idea came to me. I hope I could see a glass window with clearly visible raindrops. Katrina was a given; she is a parishioner of the church. Then I saw what I was looking for. I took around 20 shots and this was one of them.

Thanks to your votes. This ribbon makes my week!

Manny

Brilliant! Great composition and use of the horizontal frame. I'm not always a fan of black and white but this is very nice. I really have to give this a ten, it is so much better than the other 100-odd photos I've rated in this challenge.

Good shot. Good exposure. Good subject. Meets the challenge.
My only criticism is that there are a few "rainy window" pictures.
Good score though.

True representation of the challenge and very well presented. Love the soft tone, the focus and your 'model' has just the perfect expression for the occassion. Well done.

Good comp. I like the rainy window and the out of focus background. The lines of sight all run to her face. B/W adds mood.

Fanstastic use of space, and I love the way the raindrops and window make a clean background, yet compliment the photo. The model's exporession couldn't be better - well done in every way!

Very nice pose and expression, definitely conveys the theme to me. B&W is a great choice for it. The rain drops on the window really add to the shot, makes it a bit moody. Gets a 9 from me.

Good luck...
