Has a nice mellow afternoon feel to it. Score is very good, so folks liked it and thought the HDR added to the shot. Key plusses - simple, well balanced, well lit, and the HDR did help balance out the difference in lighting from inside to out. The top window panes have a distintive "burned" grayness to them and there is a bit of haloing around the tub - signs of HDR. Oddly that probably was a good thing in this challenge. :-)

Commenting as part of my Team Suck duties...

I like the minimalism of this image, and love the balance it has. The window and the tub (?) in the table... superbly balanced. This is an excellent example of where HDR can be used well. I think this may have suffered a little from the voters that punish anything with too much of the HDR black/grit or haloing as "overprocessed". Despite this, it's done quite well. Congratulation on an excellent HDR entry.

Strong Entry Wendy, deserves to tops, I remember how I liked the picture when I first saw it,
What grabbed my attention at first wasn't the HDR, it was the balance between the light outside and inside, how you managed to get the trees to show, which in my humble opinion reflects good photography skills, mostly people would over expose the exterior,
Thats said, I gave this image an 8, very well done,
P.S, Couldn't help but to realize your front page's challenges entries are filled with stars and ribbons :) way to go :)

Bright light from window and indoor items represent a major challenge. You've done a good job, considering the very large dynamic range of the scene. The halo areas around the tub are a distraction. Some blown out highlights in the upper window panes.

I love the composition on this one. The colors and light are nice too. The details on the stone are well processed but i wish i could see more details on the shadows and this image is kind of over processed for me. Good luck.

Wow, brave use of a pale palette rather than ramped up saturation. Beautifully done!
