Good B/W photo.

This would of been a #1 picture if you only centered the bird. Great job though!

The composition isn't balanced, too much blank space to the right. In some context the power line might add, here it detracts to my eye.

Not sure why you clipped the front end. Creates an unbalance which is not mitigated by other elements of interest.

I don't know why this title, is it refered to the wires without birds? or is the car model?

This would have scored a lot higher for me if we had the front of the car in the photo. Sorry to be predictable! Great BW conversion.

heck yeah! that's what hdr is all aboot: converted to black'n'white (as long as handled delicately) it looks just mind-blowingly fantastic!
i suspect a nixter behind this...amazing stuff!

I love love this a whole lot more had the car front not been chopped off. tough luck, whatever your reasons were. 6/10

outstanding work - and the funny thing is - my favorite part of the shot is the power lines

One of my favorites so far. Love when HDR is used well in B&W and really like this for reasons I can't explain.

I shall be rating this challenge by the following criteria:

1 - Not HDR in my opinion

3 - HDR is way over-done, in my opinion

5 - A reasonable use of HDR, but not a very engaging photo, in my opinion

7 - A reasonable use of HDR, and an engaging photo, in my opinion

10 - A fantastic use of HDR, and an out of this world photo, in my opinion

Your photo receives:

Great use of the effect to enhance a b/w, but why is the nose of the car cut off at the edge of the frame? You might get some flak for the overhead wires showing as well. I'm on the fence as to whether they work for the scene or not. I'd love to see some other perspectives of this if you have any to post in the outtakes thread afterwards.
