I can't figure out how it got a one either. :) This is a shot of the Washington Monument framed through the pillars of the Jefferson Memorial. It was a pretty overcast day, so there's not much color to the shot. I'm wokring to reshoot this when I have some better sky color working for me. :)

Special thanks to my editing team, who foreced me to submit this at the last minute. I appreciate it guys! If you gave me a 1, drop me a note and let me know why. I'm interested in more ways to improve the shot.

I can't believe that someone gave this a one!
Should have been top ten.

I thought this would be in the top ten (I gave it a ten). I thought it was very clever framing but top twenty is not bad. I don't know what the one is all about.

Excellent perspective and framing. A very nice image with good DOF. Quality is above average. As an advanced challenge you might consider cloning out the building on the lower left of the Washington Monument and the cars just in front of it.

Great framing to demonstrate deep DoF. I would give anything for this to have a nice blue sky! It's exceptional as it is, but the added color - and contrast with the monument and pillars, would take it towards the top.

Excellent take on the challenge theme. I love the simplicity of this and the great use of shades of black and white. Very fine.
