 As you probably imagined...
Cook CD in microwave.
Find interesting feature.
Accessorize feature (in this case add water droplets to simulate juggling balls)
Arrange lighting for rainbow effect.

PP:
Clone out minor anomalies, levels?, crop, slight hue/sat, noise ninja, reduce size, sharpen & add border.
