Sewing machine that belonged to my wife's grandmother. Actually foot pedal driven.

Wow, 5th Place! I certainly did not expect this. Many thanks for the votes and great comments. I don't think I've ever had an entry get this many comments during a challenge. :)

Lovely appliance - the flash reflection spoils it a little for me.

I figured we'd see an old sewing machine in here somewhere.. so pretty. Frameworthy in my opinion.

I really like the exposure of this picture, but maybe some more DOF could be better. I also think that would be better to avoid cropping the top left of the machine...

Interesting vintage appliance. I love the detail on the front side, especially the damaged areas. Your framing could be better though.

Very cool, very sharp. Well done.

I like the lighting and all the cool textures. Thr DOF works well here and could even have been pushed a little farther. I am not sure about the square crop, did you try a portrait crop with more the top of the machine showing?

Cool old machine. Nice detail & DOF. The light reflection is little distracting.

I think the vintage sewing machine would be a interesting appliance, but it blends into the dark background. I think a lighter background that contrast with the black sewing machine would have made this a more interesting image. IMHO.

Nice picture, but the title could have been better, imo. I like the lighting and detail, comp seems just a tad tight, but I still like it, 7.

I love the object, but the white pattern in background just doesn't seem that sharp. I think I would have prefered the background blured a little more, and less of that flash glare.
