Okay, maybe I should start off by saying that this was my original idea:
[thumb]815208[/thumb]
It was supposed to be Langdon's bathroom. I was going to hang rubber duckie pictures on the walls. There would have been a laptop on his legs (with a glowing DPC ribbon on the top, if possible, and DPC magazines in a magazine rack.

Didn't like the test shot at all, so gave up on that idea and came up with the breakfast idea instead.

Thanks to Judi for letting me steal her self-portrait. Not that she had a say in the matter; but I'm really hoping that it's ok... :D

Photoshopped the wheaties box, printed it out and pasted it on a real wheaties box. Since this was existing artwork, I needed a whole scene so that you wouldn't be voting on only the artwork. I was pretty confident that I wasn't violating the other part of the artwork rule--I don't think anyone was fooled into thinking that there's really a Wheaties DPC series. Oh, you were?! I'm so sorry--I didn't mean to crush your dreams!

The blue ribbons in the bowl and on the cup are all individually created and applied.

My husband came up with the milk carton idea, but I had no idea who to put on it. I figured I'd go for someone we hadn't seen for awhile. And then miraculously, the Seymour thread was started! How perfect! Someone must have realized that I needed someone who was missing!

The worst part was setting up the still life--I hate doing this, because I really suck at it. Spent a long time with my husband trying to get it right and finally came up with something I could live with. I would love to know I could have made the setup more interesting! Suggestions are always welcome!

I hope you enjoyed it!

lol what a creative person you are! This is awesome. I will say tho that I am jealous that you have more DPC collectibles than I do :P

This is really marvelous. I awed by the creativity. You put so much into this image. Well done. Love the rubber ducky on the milk carton ... an added bonus. And nice dishes. They should be available in a DPC online store.

That really is too frickin funny! Wish I'd voted, an easy 10 for humour and attention to detail alone!

Hahahaha...wow...you certainly went to a lot of work. I don't mind you stealing my portrait...but I would still hate to wake and see my butt-ugly face on my cereal box...roflmfao! Your setup was great and your final score shows that. Well done...and again, I am flattered.

I expect to see this on the front page, and probably with it's own ribbon. You put a lot of work and thought into this. I love all the little touch of Seymour on the milk carton.

I want to see the other 3 in the series!

Added:
The missing duck ad on the milk carton is what put this over the top for me.

I've often thought it would be nice to wake up to a blue ribbon, though perhaps not in this sense.

Nice shot, but it kinda feels like the whole lot is hovering, particularly the cereal box. I think given the 'breakfast table' type idea, it might have been nice to actually have a visible surface.

OMG!!!! If I woke up to that picture on my cereal box...I would go back to bed and hope to start the day all over again...LMAO!! Very creative though and you definitely gave me a big smile. I will vote later!

Nice... you have the Judi box. I have De Sousa's, and Librodos. Any chance for a trade?

Nice creative shot btw.

A lot of effort here - nothing I'd want to put on my wall (but hardly any in this challenge meet that criteria); overall a really good effort. 7.
