 I've actually read this book.

In 1872 the Mary Celeste was found drifting without anyone on board but in perfect condition. This is one of the greatest nautical mysteries of all time and it has never been solved.

This photo was taken last week on my trip to Maine while we were on our Puffin cruiser. It was very overcast and hazy and I saw this ship in the distance.

Nice ship, the mist/fog really adds. A critique regarding the composition though - I would have liked it better with more room to move into on the left side. Right now it's too centered and a bit cramped. I don't care for the white border. It is the brightest, most contrasty element of the image and thus pulls our attention to it. I don't think that is what you want. 6

Greatbeffect on this......for me this photo really works for the challenge, and is quite topical also...........Nice balance acheived to give the ghost look while preserving enough details......the border also seems to balance it as well.......

Nice attempt, but I'm not feeling the blueish colors all over the ship. I know thats probably the only way you could probably do it. 5
