Very happy with my score. I guess I went a little overboard with the image smoothing. But I really like my Topaz plugin. =)

Love the pose and your model. But since he is supposed to be gritty, my preference would be to see his skin less smooth. The dirt, grime and texture would have been great for this.

good emotion, I like the color and how the kid is staring. despite being a fairly smooth human, it is a good shot. could have included the rest of the head though.

Dude has mayhem in his eyes. The dirt is good, the rock is good, but the eyes are it.

Without the title, i could have guessed this as Lord of the Flies, which means you have met the challenge exceptionally well. I also love how you set out to create this, while so many others have used it as a free study and shoehorned in.............Composition is really good, I think the cropping of the head adds to the photo. Depth of field works really well also............By far one of the best in the challenge..Good Luck

I like your composition and subject, it fits the title nicely. It seems you went a little overboard on the post-processing as his skin seems unnaturally smoothed in places.

Way too much neat image but a very good photo and suits the book title well.

This shot suits the theme of the book, but not the title. The NR is a bit too strong.

What is needed here is mud on his face and a pigs head in the background lol
