This was taken at Crescent Falls in Washington near 'Lake Quinault, a large pond in the southern Olympic Peninsula area. At first I was shooting with a macro lens but decided to switch to a 50mm static to get a wider view. I didn't want to lug my tri-pod along and ended up swearing after finding myself stabilizing my camera on a rock to get the long-exposure effect I wanted here. These aren't the actual "Crescent Falls" despite the name, but they are near by along a trail up there. (ha ha im a cheetah) I had to make a total photo-basher of myself while other people attempted to take photos of the falls, but it was worth it to get the result I wanted. Hardly any editing at all done here:

1. Sharpen Tool
2. Blur Tool
3. Burn
4. Dodge

And for those of you who were wondering... Yes, that is a spider web strung across a waterfall. If your thinking what I'm thinking, you'd be thinking that spider must be some kind of super-spider. Crazy place to make a web, eh?

Nice one. Is that fishing line running through the picutre?

That spider's silk thread is distracting, and makes the difference (for me) between a 7 and a 5.

Whimsical piece...almost fairytale like. Nicely shot.
