This is my friend Vadim resting after a long hike in the mountains. When I saw him sitting like that in the rays of setting sun, I asked him not to move and ran back to my tent, grubbed my P&S camera and took a few shots. That was a really magic moment.

This feels Ansel Adams-like. Black & white is a good choice. The clarity of the water and the rocks under it are a very nice touch. The sunbeams! Guess you can tell I like this a lot!

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this at first but the longer I looked at it, the greater the sense of peace I felt too. This is a wonderful moment of serenity you have captured. 8

this is terrific. (I would have preferred a beautiful bride as the model)

The temptation here is to over critique not for content or artistic value, but for technical issues. Part of the problem when reviewing images like this is that the perceived technical issues are actually intertwined with the artistic impact of the image. In any critigue, it is paramount to consider what the author intended and in this case, the "technical issues" aren't as important as what the author intended to impart. This image has a very etheral and/or unwordly feel to it - almost as if the author had penetrated the wall between reality and the NeverNever land of the Fey. This image has a lot of artistic impact and the author should be congratulated for producing a powerful, almost iconic, image of somewhere else. Well done.

8 - Very nice. An uplifting image. I know there are issues, yes would be better with more detail especially in the face, but overall I just like this. Ok, maybe a fraction nudge up on the right, but only a fraction and could just be a perspective thing. Good capture of a good moment in life. Adding to Favorites.
