Thank you everyone for your comments! At the time, I was very new to photography and got my terms mixed up :)

Cute picture but it's shallow DOF.

Sorry, this is not deep dof. If it were, everything in the background would be in focus.

Cute picture but it doesn't really exemplify a Deep DOF as the backround is blurry.

Cute picture, but this one belongs in shallow depth of field.

I absolutely LOVE the composition here, only it's not deep DOF, this is shallow.

This is great. I gave you a 7. I would have given you a 8 but I wish the nose had some detail to it.

This does NOT show deep DOF, it shows the opposite. If the trees were in focus then it would have fitted the challenge.

Not deep enough DOF
Nice photo though

Interesting image, outside of challenge specs however. Not completely sure about tthe composition, either - those white-flowered bushes frame right ... 2

I am unfamiliar with Deep Depth of Field but I thought it was either ALL (both fore and background were in focus) or background was in focus and foreground was blurred. This doesn't seem to be either.... *ponder* Cute photo though...but I think it's just a nose shy of meeting the submission subject....

Very nice. I could never capture my dog this way. For some reason he thinks the camera is something to fear.

Holy cow. I have to say, I don't think it meets the challenge very well due to the background being oof... That being said, this is SUCH a great shot! Let me know if you make a print available - I LOVE this.

I'm thinking that for a deep depth of field image you'd want both foregounrd and background to be in focus. This is clearly a challow DOF. However, I *really* love the shot as I'm a dog lover, and this captures the insatiable curiosity of our canine buddies to me. wrong challenge, but very cute shot.

I like this picture..it's funny...I like the composition and colors...I think it's shallow depth of field rather than what the challenge is.
I like it.

a DOF so shallow that only the tip of the nose is in focus.

Too bad it's a shallow DOF, otherwise great a 5.

DOF seems to be very shallow, not deep. The eyes and ears are alreay unsharp. A catchlight in the eyes would have made an improvement.

Cute and this is a fine example of shallow depth of field not deep. Sorry I've got to vote this low.

Interesting view of the dog!! Doesn't show much DOF!
