 Koppori, which are also called pokkuri or o-kobo, are tall clogs worn by maiko. Children wear them during special festivals, especially the Seven-Five-Three Festival, which is a Shinto festival celebrating the growth of girls at ages 7, 5 and 3.

This pair belongs to my Japanese neighbor whose 3 adult daughters each wore them during their 7-5-3 fesivals.

Nice reflection and great contrast.... it's a tiny nitpick but it somehow feels like the image would be more centered if the camera was moved ever so slightly to the left...
