In space the sun would be too intense without the atmosphere to filter the intense rays. Actually Astronaut Alan Bean accidentally pointed the TV camera at the sun and burned it out. So there was no live video on Apollo 12. (I'm such as nerd for knowing this.)

However, the sheep was really an alien; she is living a very comfortable life in Area 51. ;-)

Ironically, it is a little known fact that the astronauts DID actually take sheep into space with them during most of the Apollo missions. Because hey, it gets lonely up there.
