I don't care what the others say about this already being done before, this shot is unique in it's own way. The pose of the child, his head leaning down, the whole mood of the photo makes this unique shot. The processing ads to the lonely mood. Well done.

Nice use of DOF. Great shot. BW gives dramatic effect.

A very good shot, but not uniquely different. I may not be seeing in it what you wanted me to perceive.

Its probably been done before, but outstanding photo. The black and white suits it so well, and the kid is a great model. I'm giving it an 8

Very nice photo though it doesn't seem like a never seen before. I like how the head tilt makes the photo seem more sad.

FYI, different processing, but this photo's been done before. Just thought you might like to know. (I'm not voting right now)

I have no idea how the voters will take this challenge, I'm not voting as I think I'd be marking down images like this for not being truly unique and never before seen on dpc. I like the fact that you shot the boy from the back, it adds to the alone concept. Great dof and overall treatment of the shot. Vignettes are overused imho and often just look like they have been added for no reason, I think it works well here and compliments the shot - nice one!

I'm struggling to find what's "Never Seen" about a child on a swing, but since I'm not voting, it doesn't matter, I suppose. :)

I like the processing and the fact that he seems to be waiting for a push that's not coming. (not voting)

I know this has been done here before, but this is a remarkably well done version of "lonely kids". The head tilt really makes it

Really beautiful picture. The BW is really nice to the dramatic/sad mood that the kids posture transmits... But DNMC

the title is too sad!! Great DOF and works really well in BW. 8 - would've been 9, but it's too sad!!

The mood and emotion are palpable. Patiently waiting. The BW conversion and subsequent tone support the mood. For the most part, I like the composition, I wonder if it were possible to take a step camera right to free up the right chain from the background tree. (BTW, searched the galleries, plenty of children on swings, but this is unique. I'm hopeful your presentation and processing will keep the DNMC police away!) Good luck! 9
