I like this, not sure how it will do though. I was riding as a passenger and was panning backwards as we drove by trees. I found if you pick out a tree ahead of time and follow it, you can get the twist right around your target.

Here are a few outtakes.

This one was a vertical pan on a long exposure.

Thank you for the award Chromeydome.

Very cool technique. Thanks for describing it. You took some interesting shots, and I really don't understand all those low scores.

this is a fabulous effect - thanks for sharing it. I can't believe this was beaten by some of the mundane stuff placed above it. But life would hold no mystery if we understood everything. :¬)

Very fine, as are all your outtakes. Thanks for sharing them and explaining your technique. Sort of like learning to use a paintbrush.

I like the effect. It seems as everything is revolving around the 2 trees. Very interesting.

You'll get marked down for this not being motion panning but the end result is very cool. I like it.

Interesting effect. I like how you created the illusion of movement but still was able to keep the tree in focus. Brilliant interpretation of "motion panning". You thought outside the box and the unique point of view paid off. Well done! My only negative comment is the sun spot is a bit distracting.
