I just can't get over what a WOW photo this is. Why don't they let ME pick the ribbons. This one would have gotten the blue! Nothing against the horse that won -- his is definitely award worthy too -- but in my book, this is off the chart in artistry and uniqueness. Can you tell how much I love it?

LOL some people really believed the artist thought it was a Duck? Geez I'm sure MAK knows a Chicken when he see's one!

Cool shot mate, especially like the fact that he is "ducking" his head too :) Lovely tone and very nice contrasts.

The colors make this image work for me. Your lighting is wonderful, the composition strong, darks and lights well played, but I love the almost jarring magenta tones that really make one stop and contemplate. Great choice of an unusual color for duotone.

I love this pose. I think I would like it more with the neck in focus but I can't say for sure without seeing it. I feel like my eyes are drawn to the in focus feathers but I like the image as a whole, which is why I would be interested in it all in focus. I like the choice of tones as well and the black background framing the flamingo. I also find the title funny.

you know...I have come back to this shot several time before I commented...here it is...I really like the overall picture...but your tone of red/pink/violet it to strong for my taste...sorry...I guess I am looking for more of a duo/split (more or less equal) tone (balanced)

Ohmy! This is without question the best flamingo photo I have ever enjoyed! The artistry of his pose and the dark lighting just blow me away. I truly hope to see this on the front page this time next week! 10
