I took my neice, 4, a made in Texas cowboy hat. She wore it all day. I loved her expression in this one.

Played with Topaz, Silver Efex Pro (sepia) and did a vignette blur in Color Efex Pro.

How could I have possibly missed this ? You work and empathy with children is always excellent.

The title of this shot fits it perfectly, immediately embracing the viewer and setting off a thousand fictional stories in their heads. Stories of a pretty little heroine who is not angry, petulant or demanding, but lost in thought. In a wonderful circle, while we look at her and imagine what's going on in her head, she may well be lost in her own dreams that have arrived courtesy of this Texas cowboy hat - a hat that suggest blazing summer heat, wide open spaces and exciting characters. An imagination that it's all too easy to lose as we get older and buffeted by the 'realities' of life . . but is so precious.

There is a lovely air of charm and intimacy about this shot.

What a great expression and such a beautiful little girl! And of course, I'm partial to anything that denotes horses! :) Wonderful toning - I'm sure her mom loves it!

Amazing image and processing! Your neice looks like a porcelain doll here, and this certainly is timeless.

It's hard to find a face like this, even harder to conjure a matching expression.
You should win your niece's heart to pose -or not, if it comes natural still- for a session.
What strikes me most about this shot, is how exquisitely and appropriately all the ingredients (subject, expression, treatment) have combined its look.
