Just a funny little theme. I get so frustrated doing these puzzles that I just want to rip them up into little bits.

2 lights positioned on each side (by lights i mean desk lamps), sigma 17-70 lens, cropped, levels, color balance, curves, contrast, resize, usm, border, sfw.

thanks for the great votes and comments!

i'm also surprised at how much the score moved on this one.it settled at about 6.1 then gradually dropped. it bottomed out at 5.3 on the 2nd day, then steadily climbed. it peaked at 6.53 at one point but then dropped in the final few hours to where it ended up.

Hmmm,
I thought you had been spying on me and shot this!...:)
I have one of these books and feel I should do them and when I start I wonder why am I doing this???
The photo itself, I like the fact that you have the answers to one there, the puzzle being in the paper with the POV and all makes it very neat to me!
Agree with the lighting being nice from the side.

Thanks for showing it to us.

(now can I break my pencil too?? ..:) )

I find this rather amusing, especially given the one star difficulty level in the paper (which I'm sure was deliberate). The depth of field could be ever so slightly wider on the puzzle, but that's really nitpicking.

It's a level 1 star even! Well shot.

I'll take your advice and I won't even start. DPC is enough frustration for me.

Provocative! Definitely gets across the sense of frustration very well. Good lighting, simple but contrasting color.
