I didn't vote this challenge, but I can tell you that what let this one down was too much JPEG compression. This one should have beat my own entry except for that. The compression used is way too much to give a good quality image. The model is attractive, and the lighting is good. You are really getting good with the model shots. Portraiture is not my own forte.

I think you use Photoshop, (I don't) and you can find plenty of info on how to use the "Save for web" function to save your image as close as possible to the challenge limit.

Good lighting. Nice smile!

Lots of colored pixels - sorry don't know the technical term. Maybe your resizing didn't work well? Nice pose and expression on the model.

Photo is very pixelated.

Ouch! Such a beautiful model, great expression, and excellent lighting, but then the image is ruined by massive compression artifacts! You should definitely invest the time to figure out how to properly use whatever software you use, since you clearly have talent. Don't let mundane stuff like compression get in the way of your skills!

Whoops! pixelated

dodgy image quality spoils this

Did you know this photo is only 42kb? You have 200 for advanced editing. If this wasn't all pixelated it could stand a chance of doing well. Looks like a nice photo, just can't really see it. :-/

pretty model but i notice severe pixelation issues in the image

Its a great shame this pixelated so badly as its potentially a lovely image -how are you exporting and saving your file?
05/20/2009 12:30:23 AM
Very nice shot! Unfortunately the jpg compression really distracts from the image. I noticed the file is only 42kb and I think if you had saved it closer to the 150kb that is allowed it would have done much better. Keep up the good work!

The photo is ok but too pixelated. More portrait than glamor.
