This is wayyyyy over the top for me. Its hard for me to do that much editing to my photos -- but that's what I love about the side challenges. Especially this one. I can play and turn all my grungy inhibitions loose :)

This is Caitlin. One of my daughter-in-law's twin sisters. They love modeling for me, so I take them out fairly often and make a day of it :) We're talking about doing it again soon.

I used Lesley Goodman's scratches overlay. I rotated it first. Then, I used Lucisart and a little dodging and burning.

really wish I could get a better handle on the dodge/burn layering thing...I like the effect and can usually find where it was applied in the photos but I can't seem to achieve that look...if you have time...can you explain that a bit more to me in a PM...thanks...at to the photo...really like the old yet new (her clothes - she herself is hip) feel that this has..not sure if this applies but I also like the DOF with her in the foreground fading back to the buildings behind her...really nice

Sandy - this is such a strong shot and such a pretty young lady.

And your absolutely right, side challenges are a brilliant place to try out all those ideas in our heads, and do a completely different style of picture.

Wonderful Sandy how you've got Caitlin almost standing out of the frame.

Great perspective and it's nice that you erased the overlay over her face. Plus, I love the desaturation.

Wow Sandy this looks great! Les's overlay is so versatile isn't it! The processing is perfect for the image. Hoe did you get Caitlin ( whio is gorgeous by the way! ) to pop so much?
