| I think that the blue gel you used on one of the lights really highlights this shot nicely. Great composition - you really filled the frame with this. My favorite part, however, is the splash of green. It is an unexpected treat! |

What makes this shot good is the angle, the sharpness, and even the background. First ribbon? I am sure there will be more. Congratulations.

| this is a very high quality image - and is also a very cherished trumpet. this is a good subject for reflecting various sources of light, and you've certainly done it justice. only slight reservation is the green felt - a bit too bright and a distraction. if the instrument were turned a bit it might not be so apparent. but seriously, that's the only thing: the background is perfectly subtle, the 45° angle is perfectly, erm, angled... the left seems marginally out of focus compared to the rest though, but that's being unnecessarily picky. excellent. 8. |

| The felt pads in this shot are a little distracting, I would have rotated the trumpt away from the camera a little more.. Stunning image though, and good choise for the backdrop. |

| Sharpness/focus might have been improved just a little, but this is being pedantic because the sheen makes focus very difficult in the first place and a good result has been achieved anyway. Lovely colour, great contrast. The green glow on the valves really 'finished off' the image. Nice use of an interesting background. Complementary colours. Score 9. |

Stunning. I love this. Perfect focus. Perfect reflection. I would have used a velvet backgroud so you would not see the cloth, but otherwise perfect. I really like that you can see the green felt pads on the ( what ever they are called). 9
