This is a candid shot during a meeting.
was toying with colour or B&W so I just went with my favorite.... B&W, then changed it to colour hehehe

est score - 6.2
dream score - 7+

I can understand people thinking this was a set up, the light was very very good, but then again, that is why I shot it, because of the light. oh well.

Beautiful portrait. It looks more posed than candid, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

If only you could get more depth of field (using big f/stop), both eyes would be in focus.

With proper focus on the entire face, this would have been a sure top ten image and one that would have been talked about - it very well could be an outstanding character candid and a perfect representation of what Grandmothers should be. Unfortunately, the DOF issue detracts from it's artistic perfection and impression. Coulda, woulda, shoulda, a little more time and a DOF preview before capture would have elevated this to ribbon contention easily. Having said that, it's still a worthy entry into the challenge and should place within the top twenty five.

Nice portrait, great DOF, excellent use of (I think!) a window and a darkened room for lighting!

Love the lighting, beautiful portrait. Something about this seems posed versus candid. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, though!

Nicely done and it does look more like a candid to me than a portrait (although some may argue).

Beautiful portrait. Looks like she knows you are taking the photo, but it's terrific. Love the lighting. She has wonderful eyes.
