This is direct sunlight reflecting on the wood, hammer and nail. The idea was to create a lot of contrast and nice shadows with such a bright light source, giving the photograph some kind of tense feeling. The title is also meant to create some tension, sort of like "The Untouchables".
I would have liked to get a sharper nail, and less color noise, but there is just so much you can do with basic editing.
Crop, Hue/Saturation, Brightness & Contrast, Reduce Color Noise, USM, Resize, USM again, Frame. |

WOOHOO! Now it's quite right!! Personal best, crossed 6 barrier and first Top Ten! It's a shame though that Smoking Tulip by  sekarmalathy was DQ'ed, I really like that shot. |

| This is not quite right! I was soooo close to being a Top Ten! Oh well, I'm very happy anyway, since it's a personal best, and I finally crossed the 6 barrier!! :) |
