 I have NO idea why I was so eager to enter this 24 hours challenge. I did not really have an inspiration but somehow I just wanted to enter something. So after work (had a long day) around 10pm went to a convenience store to buy these tacks. Reached home around 11pm and started preparing for the shoot.
Finished the session at 11:30pm , bathed , it was already midnight.

Nothing too spectacular, straight and simple shot. Hope it does reasonably well.

Woohoo !!!! Did not expect this to do so well. I am shocked. I need to listen to my instincts more (too bad I did not listen to it in the nightmares !! challenge cos it is tanking). Anyway thanks for all the votes again.

This is a very simple shot. Placed the tacks on a black acrylic to get the nice reflection. Lighted with 1 studio flash bounced off the ceiling. The tacks were surrounded with white reflectors. Not much post processing , some sharpening, toning down the highlights a little, increased shadow detail.

An artistic success, it falls shy of being a technical success because of the white blooms which ruin the overall impact. A little less lighting or exposure as exists on the right hand reflection of the tack shaft would have been a huge plus. As it is it should rate high, perhaps even a top ten. Well done.
