Well definitely not a winner, but there was something I just liked about it, even though the other flying mallard shots caught the light better and were a little better defined. The 2 faves early in the voting are a wonderful confirmation of my right brain! Merci beaucoup.

I like the bottom half of this one a lot. Those ducks move along when they are flying, so I know that this was not an easy one to get.

I gave this a 7. I loved the abstract quality of it. I thought you had captured some angel wings with those highlights ;) It said lighting to me!

Very interesting shot, I like the tones, motion and ghostly light.

A tough entry for lighting which is very subtle in this photo and will not be well-understood by the voters. To get a blur photo not just of one bird but TWO that look this good is amazingly difficult and you did a terrific job. While it doesn't hit the challenge topic right between the eyes (thus your score), this photo is FABULOUS in and of itself! Very well done!

It's a hard subject challenge and this reviewer is having just as hard of a time properly rating images in the challenge. Having said all that however, this is a spectacular image and in any other setting and/or challenge would be a sure top ten image - it's spectacular, well controlled and very dramatic.

I like the abstract feel of this. Not sure about the light quality!

Oh how wonderful. I love the look of layered shots due to the slow shutter speed. I really like the feeling of movement here.

Love the blurred motion (this would have been fabulous for that challenge). Also, the muted tones, but the sharp detail of the heads. Great picture, but not particularly illustrative of "lighting".
