Taken during an assignment for the paper. Found this little spot of light as the runners hit this hurdle. Got lucky with someone who stared at the camera and hit good form in the light. Yeah its a shoehorn, but you would have hit submit on this photo too. :D

Oh yeah also ran front page of the sports section.

Post Challenge.
Well a new Personal best and a 4th place finish. Now I guess I know what its like to be the first loser. LOL

Ha! I get that feeling all the time, and usually end up with a low 5. =D Great shot.

This is a really fantastic image. Congrats on your HM and PB, Matt. Probably it's better in color as a stock photo but I could imagine it looking absolutely stunning in b/w too.

Very neat capture. Perfect for a stock. Lighting is great as well as the stopped action. Not a hint of bluriness.

Good action shot. Nice framing at the peak of the hurdle. This hits the mark.

The author has outdone the rest of the field with this image - a perfect capture - strength, speed and power - terrific DOF control which gives a sense of detail without being a distraction to the subject. Rich in detail. A little minor flaw that's not worth mentioning. Well done.
