 Shot at the butterfly pavilion. I don't know why but I just love this shot. I am sure it will not score well but I just had to pick it as my favorite hidden gem.

Beautiful. A fleeting moment in the too brief lives of these fascinating creatures. On a second passthrough, I've decided that I really like this image a lot. Up to a 9 you go.

For some reason I really like this one. I think it must be the warm light. It's an unconventional butterfly photo, at least compared to the usual more document like butterfly pictures, yet this one works beautifully. I can imagine myself walking by a wall, or a window, and seeing something like this, and thoroughly enjoying it. ~10 Added to favourites.

The wings look beautiful with the light coming through and showing all the detail and colours. Would love to see them closer and crop out the left side maybe. But they look good on the wood/concrete, it's a good contrast.

I like that the butterflies actually form the shape of a single butterfly. Also, the contrast, and post processing give the shot an edgy look.

I like this shot because butterfly shots are usually so bright and "pretty." This one has an edge to it that points to the harsher realities in life. Very nice.

somehow this doesn't work for me, probably due the fact this is neither a silhouette nor has enough light from the front. might also be the shallow DOF, which i generally like, but the plane of focus here crosses the subject in an unfortunate angle
