Whoa, this is spooky, I feel like I'm in the mind of a wolf or something.

This one is gaining favor with me big-time. I doubt it's scoring well for you, which is a pity, because there's so much to love here. I'm guessing lensbaby, which is a real plus courage-wise :-) I love the intricate interleaving of sharp/soft/sharp/soft in this sweeping, emotive image. Bumping to 8.

Nice surreal effect. Like a time warp or something or a doorway to a separate reality.

I like the mood that this shot creates! Wonderful!

I like the foreground blur. It looks like you're in a car driving by this scene rather than going through the gate. At the speed this looks like a good catch and a split second decision.

not to keen on the movement blur makes the image look OOF rather than what you were trying to achieve well done for trying something differnt tho

Normally, this would get a negative comment for having nothing in focus. But you've capture a hurried feel here. Not sure whether the gate is a good idea or bad, but the house hidden in the right edge doesn't look all that hospitable. To me, it does convey a sense of urgency to get through the stone gate.

i so like this blur effect, but i think its taking away more then its adding to the photo. perhaps if the gate was still clear, and the blur was coming form it it would feel different to me

Nicely done. Looks as if there's a strong wind going through the gate.

An extra point for trying something different - good luck

Interesting use of lens blur (assuming that is what you did). I would have preferred a stronger focus on the gate however.

This is a brilliant idea, and I'm sure it took a lot of work to get the zoom blur that close to the gate, but if the zoom were just a little more centered at the gate, then maybe this image would have a stronger impact. My eyes sort of wander around, and I think, with this concept, you want the viewer's attention to be directed to the gate.
Just a thought.

I like the feel of motion here. I wish the gate itself was a little more stationary in feel. It feels like it's moving as well.

yay for motion blur! Just because you submitted this, I give you a 8! Love motion blur because it always stands out among a sea of very similar "pretty pictures." Nice capture, would have liked a little more shadow detail however in post processing.

To be honest, I don't care for the motion blur here. Having said that, I do like the composition and the sharp focus on the gate. And I must admit the motion does send my eye to exactly that point in the photo.
