I think this was the last one I voted on. It sure looks better on my home computer.
Anyway, at first I thought it was Ireland, because of the green, then Norway or perhaps Iceland. Very nice scenery. |

| Not sure if it is the lush greens, the great textures or super composition that I like so much but the image just pleased me to view. Very fine work especially your handling of the sun and the very fine crepuscular rays. A beauty for sure. |

| It was the earliest settlement on this new world. The crew had worked hard to clear and plant an adequate field around their settlement to carry them for some time, if needed. Though they worked hard, there was still nothing like watching the sole sun of that system sink behind the horizon to glorious shades of yellow. |

I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1113 images, I gave 93 of them an 8. Your image was one of those 93, placing you well within the top 10% for this challenge.
Some selective desat pictures work really well, others do not. Yours is one of the ones that does. Love it or hate it, this style of graffiti is at times really artistic. Here you have been able to show how the graffiti has injected a bit of colour and life into the otherwise drab subject. Nicely done.
Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge. |

This is a place I want to visit... This is beautifully framed, and the partial occlusion of the sun (and its attendant glancing rays) is just beautifully handled. The image as a whole is understated and totally effective.
I need more landscapes att he very top, bumping from 8 to 9 :-) |

| Voted earlier coming back now to leave some comments. Would you *LOOK* at the stunning colors and view in this shot!!! It has print or calendar written all over it. Even better was that you got to experience this natural beauty live! Love the rich colors from the greens to the blues. The composition is fabulous too! I get the sense of standing just off the the left peering out from the outcropping of rock as my eye travels to the mountain range off to the far right to then sweeps down the slopes to the green diamond patch of valley below and then travels that patch of land that bridges the gap over the ocean to the mountainous island that lies in the center. I also love how you captured the sun peering out from the rock face on the left such that there are some marvelously strong rays of sunshine visible. |
