Nice one really. I wish there was even more road in the front leading to the subject. Still a great shot.

I love the mist here, really adds character and depth to this, a nice shot that tells a story.

Good shot. Gives you a sense of being in the middle of nowhere.
03/17/2009 10:04:12 AM
Wonderful mood shot.
03/17/2009 08:26:23 AM
My first reaction brought to mind the play 'Waiting for Godot'. Not sure why though. I like the shot... and I think the soft colours and mist/dust work well.

Awesome capture and presentation. Gorgeous. Reminds me of the dust bowl. Hard times, harder than now. Thanks.

The composition here is excellent and very effective. A little too obvious oversharpening artifacts which you can fix in post processing, 7

hm, from the point of perspective its obvious why you chose the left side with the power poles but it seems as the figure was going further from you and in that case, Id prefer to choose the other way to take it from the left side not right side...
but its just a detail
great capture

The power lines really make this photo and draw you right to the subject.
03/14/2009 03:20:46 PM
Some really great elements in this shot - perspective, lines, good balance.
03/14/2009 11:22:14 AM
I'm trying to figure out what the shape is above the 3rd and 4th poles.
03/14/2009 10:28:06 AM
Very, very nice. Love the fog. especially like the lighting on the bags he's carrying. It would be interesting to see it from a different angle--moving more to the left side of the road so we get more of a feel of the road going off into the distance. - 8

Sometimes I see photos like this and they're perfectly sharp with all the bells and whistles. What I like about your photo is (to me) it's emotional. This is simple, like the placment of your subject and it just looks real and something I would see driving down the road.
