Post Challenge: WOW - I was ever so hoping this might be a personal best - but a Blue Ribbon?? Never dreamed of it! Wow!

The composistion is great. I love the perfect star effect of the petals, leading the eye, out to the edges, or back into the center of the flower. The lighting and the toning is perfect.

I'm surprised you didn't get a "the yellow in the center is a little distracting comment, seeing as how people like to bash photos on insignificant features.

There is a similar flower in this challenge and what I liked about it is exactly opposite in this photo. I would have preferred to see more definition between where the flowers tip's end, but the close up makes this one work well.

It's light and it's on white. It's also a wonderful shot. The hint of green/yellow in the center of the flower works so well. 10
