Hey from the critique club.

Ok so I guess congrats on the brown? Well to be fair I don't think you should have done last place. Although I can see why it was voted poorly. The image is (in my opinion) softened far to much. You can't see any natural beauty in the girl, as its all masked behind your softening. It is also done very blotchy on her skin, which isn't very appealing. compositionaly I think you could have pulled in one of the top corners to take the subject off center. I think it may have helped a lot if you shot down onto the model, which would give more definition to the subjects jaw and face. the sharpness is nice on the eye though. It would be nice to let the picture stand on its own instead of editing it so much. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the pose, the knee is distracting, and in the way, I find myself mentally trying to look around it. My advice is try and take full advantage of the incredible gear you have and the sharpness it can give.

The plus side? Well I like the skin tones, the lighting and she is a beautiful subject indeed.

It also may have been a bit of a stretch to fit into calender... I bet even titling the image Mrs. January or some other month may have convinced some people.

This wasn't basic, it was advanced.

Kinda freaky looking to me... that black thing is confusing and makes her neck look disconnected or something. I'm sure you'll hear about not including the month in your title as required by the challenge, so I won't mention it. *grin*

I think it's the processing... and that black thing, that I don't like. I'm sorry. I hope you wanted truth in comments. *sigh*

I do like the sharpness of the eyes.

Focus seems to be off. Angle of the models head does not seem to be natural I had to take a few glances to see if she was looking over her shoulder or just had her head in a funny position. Lighting is not bad. Overall just kind of too soft.

not sure what month this should be attached to. also not a fan of the processing

Good face and hair but all the other clutter is very distracting especially the black blob in front and the diagonal in the upper left.

No month listed for title. Also - not too crazy about the touching up on the face - makes her look plastic almost?

nice shot

This photo looks airbrushed. But i like the color of the skin and the makeup looks great with the skintone.

Is she for real? Great looking model but does look like a plastic doll due to excessive (IMO) smoothing. Good posture, expression and composition. 6 but would have been a 7 if the skin had not been smoothed quite as much.

Hmm... what month is this supposed to be for? The post processing on this is wayyyy too overdone for my taste.

There doesn't seem to be anything tying it to a calendar, not even a month name. But I'm not rating it down for that. I just think the angle makes her face look strangely out of proportion and the black shadows/smudges on her face, especially below the mouth makes it look like dirt. I'm sorry, doesn't work for me.

It isn't clear from the picture or the title what month this might fit into on a calendar. Sure, you could find a calendar topic that this lovely model would fit - but it isn't clear which kind or what month. Sorry, it is a nice shot (though I don't much like the background. And DNMC.

How is this related to a Calendar? Month is ??? Any month perhaps?

As for the image itself I'm really not a fan of the artificial cartoonish look this entry has. Sorry.

This image is so stomped on by editing it looses any positive impact. (1)

the editing has made this look plastic and computer generated...you may have been trying for that effect, but overall it looks too contrived for my liking 5
