Isaac pretending to shoot an apple off his mom's head -- we used a broken, unstrung bow to avoid "accidents." :-)

Intentionally shallow DOF centered on the arrow tip, trying to re-create the archer's sightline.

See?! I told you some fletching would help, even if it was OOF it would help sell the story (for those not convinced it was an arrow). I really liked your approach on this - the OOF bg works great in this scenario.

Great Idea, but IMO the person wit the apple should be a bit mroe in focus (stop down by probably 1-2 stops... and it would also be nice to see a sharp arrow head on the tip of the arrow, but great work!

honestly - I don't think this was executed very well. I think the apple should be more in focus and less on the arrow (I'm assuming it's an arrow by the title?) which doesn't have an arrow tip.
