 Quick setup up in the basement, fake rose placed on a tinted glass surface, no flash, just room lighting with a longer exposure shutter.

Convert from RAW, small saturation of the red color, rotated just a bit, cropped, boarder, save for web.

I think that if the blossom were not in the center that this would be much more visually engaging.
