Couldn't decide at all this month. My two best shots are already in challenges, and my better Lensbaby shots are posted in that side challenge. Had lots of single tree shots - many I liked (I apparently like shooting single trees) and one I REALLY considered entering but figured people might be sick of trees by now, and there will probably be other "tree" outtakes in the FS.

So you get this one, which I did shoot to be a FS candidate. It's a three exposure HDR tonemapped kinda thing, and it did weird things to the moving people, which I like in an odd sort of way. I've shot from this position before but wanted to try it with more tonal range. So I took my thousand pound tripod and lugged it all over Frankfurt. For that reason alone I finally decided this one got to be the FS entry.

The other single tree outtakes and the rest of the Lensbaby considerations will be in my portfolio.

So far no one has commented on the moving people ghosty things....

I think I much prefer this one over the colour one! I could be a B&W junkie though...

thousand pound tripod? No wonder you're in such stellar shape. :) Really great job on this, Deb! Brings back memories.

I definitely like the black and white version. It's almost like there's a 3-d effect going on here. So I think you did a GREAT job with the tone-mapping. My eye keeps going to the clock too. Not sure what it is that keeps pulling me there. Fascinating photo.

Deb, I was just looking at the distribution of scores here. Nothing less than a 4 - that's great. I thought it would score higher though. Well done!

Told ya you get good responses! A post-lumie nomination, over-6 score, good on ya!

NO 1's, NO 2's, NO 3's, and only seven 4's... Amazing for an image that barely went over 6.0...
