 I thought of entering something different for this challenge because I thought the color version came out really well.
I tried a new sharpening technique attributed to Marc Adamus on this one.
I resized my image after editing to 1300 pixels then ran Filter->sharpen twice and then resized to 800 pixels. works great but can be overdone quickly.
