Archive challenge. 2004, continued. V e r y slow shutter speed at 1/180th, and shallow DOF at 3.5, the filly's face in sharp focus, the rest a nice blur. It looked fine in color but the toning enhanced the soft feeling.

Magic. The disappearing white horse, and the softly and beautifully modelled filly: feels like an early morning dream.

The dark horse on light background works great in B&W. You've done a good job of capturing the playful moment.

The b&w helps makes this appear soft and dreamy, and you've perfectly captured the playful nature of the little tyke!

Well, 1/180 doesn't seem so "slow" to me, but whatever -- it certainly works well here. I like the white-on-white isolating the subject, along with the limited focus. Very nice portrait.

Nice soft image for the tiny one. Love the way the legs are everywhere. She seems to be watching your every move. The B&W conversion really works for me .

I like how the softness in the horse to the left helps to isolate the filly. The shutter speed gives a nice mix of stopping the action, while still keeping some motion blur in the feet.

Very sweet shot - I agree that the B&W gives this a soft, ethereal feeling. Interesting disconnect which I'm assuming is due to the motion - the two front hooves vary considerably in size!

Nicely done. I think the white levels could be moved up a tad, but a lovely shot overall!

This is truly beautiful! Love the softness and the ethereal feel of the white horse, compared to the full of life, vibrant baby. Simply stunning.
