 This picture was taken back in February 08 and placed in my portfolio and on my front page and no one cared. To me it has it all: color, contrast, detail, texture, perceived blown highlights, no central point of focus, too many distractions, lack of wow, lack of pop, and death and decay.

And pixels. Many pixels. Almost 100 by my count.

Notice the subtle use of the lack of a frame.

Plenty to look at but nothing to see. Abstract Realism.

I'm guessing this will score either a 3, 5, or 7.

the intersecting lines of the stairs and the railings provide some good interest - but the processing seems almost too muted here - as if higher contrast and a bit more intense lighting
