 It's wintertime. Fresh snow gives the trees an extra dimension, they look like huge charcoal drawings in the landscape.

8 - Very nice. Like the almost painterly, or even lithographic effect.

Very postcards (in a good way.) I like that the trees (branches esp.) are more brown than pure black. Good composition.
