I'll probably regret entering this. I wasn't going to enter but with less than 3 hours remaining there were only 22 entries so I thought why not.

On New Year's Eve we went to a friend's house. He set off fireworks in the back garden at midnight. They were pretty impressive for non professional fireworks. I borrowed his tripod and went outside to take a few shots. It was freezing and the fireworks were going off practically over my head so I wasn't sure I was even getting them in the frame. But a few turned out half decent. That being said, I liked the negative image of this better than the original. This is way out of the box for me, not a shot I would normally enter in a challenge. Fingers crossed.

A lot of people are saying it looks like palm trees. I thought the same thing and almost put palm tree in the title.
