 Sunset through the Golden Gate, with the peaks of the Farallon Islands (some 30 miles offshore) clearly visible on the horizon; fronted by the Golden gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island.

This photo was chosen for exhibition at the 2011 Marin County Fair, as part of the Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary celebration.

This looks surreal. I am impressed, big time. This is probably the best of any photo that I have seen of this group of icons.

Nice capture of the Farallon Islands. Quite rare to see it so well. I spent 3-1/2 years here (mainly high school plus a bit of junior high) and I probably only saw them this nicely 2 or 3 times.

me too, should have been in the sixes at least. I haven't seen it this clear before either. To be honest I couldn't have guessed where the farallon islands were exactly. Well done.

looks like fire in the sky...would have cloned a few of the dots or buoy's out of the water, but a really good shot.

Very nice! Looks like a painting. I like the vignetting. Years ago I was driving north to south on the Golden Gate Bridge when the Blue Angels flew between the uprights right over me.
