Love this high key shot. Everytime I try something high key it appears completely washed out. You've inspired me to keep trying. I'll see if I can fit one in this challenge.

This is impressive! It's very much an art shot. You had a great subject to work with, and made the most of it with this shot.

WOW .. brilliant photograph .. love the high key and the extreme close-up ..
fascinating how that area under its beak looks nearly like material .. that must be the bit that stretches .. looked at it again .. it looks a lot like that stretchy bandage material actually .. aint nature clever .. !!..:)

Very nice high key work, Greg. I like how the beak forms the diagonal.

Nicely done! What gave you the idea to go hi-key? It works very well for this subject. I feel like maybe this is the last thing a poor fishie sees before 'gulp' the end. Nice camera angle, too.

He almost looks prehistoric. I like the diagonal line created by your perspective. Fun bright pastel colors too. :~)

Love the detail & texture, Greg- now I can see how they can hold so much in the pouch ! The high key makes this fine image POP :)

What a fun portrait :-) Lots of detail here, even in high key, and the eye looks remarkably thoughtful for a pelican.
