Stood for ages and ended up with about 20 shots of this window trying to get something like this, people were starting to give me funny looks!

Had a really hard time getting the combination between highlights and shadows. The histogram shows that both ends are pushed right out.

Straightened, cropped, USM, curves, cropped again.

This certainly caught my eye. Like Vikram's shot, this has two worlds and the intriguing effect of 2 different kinds of lighting which you really did pull off.

:) This photo so makes me smile. You're awesome!

I just read your bio and I'd say 4th place after barely a month is a pretty good indication that you are not in the least out of your league. Congratulations!!

I can understand the struggle with the light, in these high-contrast shots. And since, it involves other people, you cannot go think of using much of fill flash!

But, a very well done shot!

Street-photography is fun, isn't it?

Regards,
:-), Vikram

like I said - I love this one! Congratulations on fourth place!
And I happen to think that the highs and lows help with this shot because it emphasizes the bright display versus the street shopper and everything else.

This one's amusing. Highlights are a bit hot, and shadows a bit dark.

Love this! The window itself is gorgeous, and the whole picture is just really funny with the man turning his back to it all. 10

could be this considered a window shopping? this is the first, and the only, question about this photo. I think that yes, a good image, the little bottle in the right low side is a bit distracting but a good image.

Excellent composition. Perhaps to see the gentleman a bit closer and better lit...

Love the colors and subject. I know it's not your fault but that line down the middle drives me nuts.
