 Thanks for the votes and a nice 4th place. It takes a little hurt off of the "nastier" side of this ice storm--we had no power from Thursday night at 1:00 am to Tuesday afternoon. We had to go live in a friends basement after one day, because our house was really cold (and dark).

This was taken at sunset in a local park. The photo is inverted both vertically and horizontally, just cause I liked it better that way. The nearer bokeh is from the sunset light shining through another row of icicles a few feet away; the bigger ones from the light coming through trees (and very likely ice) further away.

This must be one of the most simpliest yet most intriguing photos I have seen in a long time...had to add it to my favorites. I just became a member and participated in my first challange "light on white" and I must say....you have an incredible talent. Please give me any pointers at anytime!

Great color and good use of the polemic "circles of light". The black thing on the right top is kind of distracting and maybe more focus on the ice would be better! I like it!
