Notes after the fact...

This girl is one of three triplets who are artists-in-residence for Young Arts Arizona. The sisters also form a band, and they came to play for our opening reception last Friday.

I heavily cropped the image of the one girl. Used Nik Efex Color Stylizer - upped the saturation a bit. Used one Redfield Fractalius filter that had black emphasis - then faded it. Used another Fractalius filter with white emphasis and faded it as well.

Smoothed with Redfield Perfectum. Increased contrast. Added catch lights in the eyes, and burned the pupils in the eyes.

I was happy with the Norman Rockwell effect. This girl has the best face - so classical looking.

This has a nice "50's" look to it. You have a pretty model here, and processing is perfect for the effect that you were shooting for.

Yes Norman Rockwell! I couldn't figure out what the processing remined me of until I read your comments. Very nice job!

This is truly gorgeous! It doesn't at first look all that detailed, but when you actually sit and look at it all the little details pop out.

Well, if I would have looked here first, I guess I would have had my answer about the filter! Such a lovely candid shot. (Hope you've passed them to the parents).

This is such a timeless photograph, it seems like it was taken decades ago. I'd love to see your processing steps, the effect is stunning.

Seems like a sad innocence captured here. Love how you glammed it up with your cool processing. It really contrasts the expression.

So lovely and dreamy! She looks like a movie star from the '30s-'40s.
