This is Graystoke and Gandalf the Gray, 8 month old brothers from hopefully the last litter I'll find showing up on my doorstep for a while!
For those who don't know, since I moved to my current rural location a couple years ago I have taken it upon myself to stop the cat overpopulation problem in my neighborhood by luring all the strays here then getting them fixed and innoculated on my own dime. I'm in for several thousand $ at this point (not to mention the food and ongoing care costs, aarrgghh!), but it finally seems to be working! Anyway, many of them stay on with me so that's why I always have so many pictures of different kitties, they are all my little furry angels, er uh, devils :-)

Anyway, here's the processing steps, CS3:
Shadow hilight adjustment
Color Efex Pro (CEP) Tonal Contrast filter
Increase saturation and brighten eyes in both cats
Redfield Fractalius Glow 100 filter, multiply mode 77% opacity
Copy of above layer, color burn mode 50% opacity
Flatten all to make new layer and work from there...
CEP Photo Stylistic filter (added all those reds)
CEP Tonal Contrast filter, 67% opacity
New layer to again brighten and color eyes and brighten teeth
Flatten all and make new layer
Duplicate layer, apply chalk and charcoal filter, overlay mode 33% opacity
So the color changes basically came from the photostylistic filter, and the outlines came from fractilius glow 100

Here's the original, as usual poorly lit and sucky, image:

The processing on this image make it magical, like a Halloween post card.

OK, I'll come clean first: I am a hopeless cat lover :) so do not expect any objective comment from me LOL! This image so clearly conveys the feline attitudes of these furry "devils"... And your title matches the processing completely. Good job!

Awesome processing. I am guessing you maybe used glowing edges in PS or something close?

I was wondering if you added the vampire teeth in the editing process, but I see they're there in the original too. Looking forward to the processing details, curious about the selective red & blue highlights.
