This is the second shot from the first series of 3 photos I did for my Greek and Roman mythology class. The second set is complete and can be found here:

Basically the story of Eos and Tithonus is that Eos, the goddess of the dawn, spies on Tithonus and falls in love with him. She asks Zeus to give him eternal live so she can be with him forever, but forgets to ask for eternal youth. This photo depicts the middle of the story, where Tithonus has grown old and Eos has begun to push him out of her life. In the end, Tithonus is transformed into a grasshopper.

Cool. You made me look up the myth, to see what this was about.

Interesting idea, but weak execution. Demand better from yourself.

Very elegant, has a nice softness to it, great reflection in the water too. Great composition.

It didn't take Old Man Burrows long to realize that he'd made the wrong career choice. "Be a Siren!" the ads said, "Live a life of song and adventure!" they said. "Bring wanderers to their doom and gorge on the meat of humanity!" They promised.

Old Man Burrows watched as one of his fellow workers prepared herself for another night of seduction and feasting and grumped. Few people ever came when HE sang, and of those that did, they all ran screaming away from him.

Yes, he'd definitely made the wrong choice. Sighing, he picked up the remains of a squirrel he'd managed to catch and gnawed on it. He was so stupid.

I would like to see a use of a reflector to direct some more light on the ladies face.
