Challenge: Hanging On By A Thread (Basic Editing)
Camera: Nikon D300
Lens: Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED
Date: Nov 25, 2008
Date Uploaded: Nov 25, 2008

This is our froggy, Trickster - and yes, it is actually fishing line but a super heavy weight is all we had for my last minute shoot. I could not clone it out because it was basic editing. And it is tight on the top to clone out the string that connects it to the banana stand. It is a piece of cloud scrapbook paper behind it.

Thank you all... this was not my best work - but last minute lucy kicked in and voila this is what I got. Of course, had I shot it prior to 2 hours before deadline I could have timed my epiphany of what I would have liked to do and actually had the time to do. I am very pleased with the 5th and my first HM..... perhaps one day I'll get my butt in gear before the 11th hour!!

Congrats on the HM! Sure seem to have been a lot of froggies in this challenge!

Hilarious! I wish he had put his leg over the string. Silly frog... not cooperating. I like how you made your background, too. Lovely.

That frog is so damn cool looking. I'm not sure if you meant to keep the string in the picture, but I think the picture would be better without it (I'm sure since it's basic that's why it's still there).

Oh that is so cute! Red-eyes have such personality. Nice job carrying the colors through to the background.

Cool shot, love the colors and idea. Funny title. It's a shame that you could see the thread, maybe next time try a fishing line they are easy to work with in these type of shots. 9

Feels like there is too much colour

Cant say I love the background; it is a bit too bright and overwhelming. However, I like your take on the challenge. This is one of the more original images. Lighting is good. It kind of sucks that I can see the "thread" used in the shot. But, overall, a great shot.

Love the concept, but not the photo so much. Feels flat ... almost like a composite.

I think I see a winner! That's not a real frog is it? Excellent shot. Is it rotated 90 degrees? It would be nice to have the whole umbrella in the shot but I suspect you had to support it on the top and side.

Holy Frogman! You must tell us how you did this! Where's you get the little jeweled froggy and his/her jeweled umbrella! A little more separation between background and subject and this would have been perfect.

You must have spotted the other frog pics by now. - I wonder what are the chances of the 3 frog pictures taking the three ribbons? It could happen - (they've got my highest votes.)

Awesome photo, but I find the umbrella a little distracting. The frog is beautiful and I the umbrella takes away from it. The umbrella also seems a little under exposed compared to the frog.

i was dreading this little frog. i knew he'd come along and kill my photo, which he just did. blah
